Congratulations to the Hudson Fire Protection District on their 75th Anniversary!

Formed in 1950, the Hudson Fire Protection District recently celebrated an incredible milestone — 75 years of dedicated service to the communities of southern Weld County. To mark the occasion, the District invited the public to join in a celebratory event, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Chief Gabrielson, flanked by a proud team of firefighters, led the ceremony with the help of large (and very sharp!) gold-handled scissors provided by the Southeast Weld County Chamber. The ribbon cutting officially kicked off the celebration at Hudson Fire Station #2. The Hudson Fire Protection District is an all-hazard agency serving approximately 96 square miles in southern Weld County. Their services go beyond fire suppression, encompassing fire prevention, public education, life safety, property conservation, emergency medical response, rescue operations, and hazardous materials response. The District proudly serves the Town of Hudson, the Town of Lochbuie, and the surrounding rural areas. The District is governed by a Board of Directors that meets at Station 1 (702 Cedar Street) on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend. Thank you to the entire Hudson Fire Protection District for your 75 years of selfless service and continued dedication to the safety and well-being of our communities!
