The American Legion Auxiliary are the spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion. Some of our members are veterans themselves. In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. In Keenesburg, the Auxiliary offers our support to the American Legion and to our community in several ways. Featured Auxiliary events include remembrances for 9/11 and Memorial Day, a Veterans Day breakfast, a Holiday Bazaar, and a Chili Cookoff. We also offer our help with funeral/memorial dinners for our local veterans and residents, scholarships, a community birthday calendar, Christmas baskets for veterans and seniors, support for families needing help during the holidays, and more.
