Weld Central FFA was represented by 23 students at the Colorado FFA State Convention at CSU-Pueblo, June 1st-4th, 2026. Multiple students and teams competed, went on educational tours, and attended sessions and workshops. Congratulations to the following students for qualifying and their success!
Anastyn Perez, Dawson Dever, and Garrett Hall were State Winners with their Proficiency Applications – this award is to honor students with outstanding SAE’s (Supervised Agricultural Experiences) and is a lengthy application process. These applications will be submitted to Nationals!
The Ag Communications Team (Anastyn Perez, Addi Powers, Alex Bolin, and Aubree Klasuner) received Gold and State Runner Up! Jaylene Salazar received Gold and State Runner Up for the Spanish Creed Speaking Contest! Dawson Dever received Gold and was in the Top 3 for the Prepared Speaking Contest. Weld Central FFA received Gold and was a State Finalist for the National Chapter Award Program.
Garrett Hall received Silver in the Agriscience Fair contest. The Quiz Bowl Team (Andrew Dinges, James Klausner, Taden Nelson and Dawson Rupple) received Bronze! Garrett Hall received Bronze in the Employment Skills Contest. Dawson Dever received Bronze in the Auctioneering Contest.
The following members received their State FFA Degrees – this is the highest degree that Colorado FFAcan bestow on an FFA members-a testament of years of hard work in FFA: Garrett Hall, Camerin Langley, Chloe Cooper, Anastyn Perez, Addi Powers, Ashley Barrows, Bryen Stalcup, Ali Weber, Katelyn Nuanes, Sophie McNitt, Kylee Marchand, and Makayla Milligan.
Weld Central FFA’s State FFA Officer, Citlali Calixto, retired from her year of service on the 2025-2026 team.Anastyn Perez and Addi Powers served as our chapter’s delegates to represent at the state level. Dawson Dever served on the State FFA Officer Nominating Committee to select the 2026-2027 State Officer Team. Our chapter’s volleyball team won 1st place in the State Volleyball Tournament. Ryder Halley was recognized for his Heifer Wrangle SAE Project in the student showcase. Dawson Dever, Anastyn Perez, Garrett Hall, and Alex Bolin presented the student showcase to members and sponsors.
Weld Central FFA is grateful for a great way to end the 2025-2026 school year and is looking forward to the 2026-2027 school year and being an active part of the community!
